Psalm 12
Help, Lord for You alone are faithful
All are two-faced, harbouring deception
May the Lord silence those who boast,
Thinking their proud tongues will save them
“I will protect the poor and needy”
Says the Lord, “I will arise”
The words of the Lord are flawless
Like silver and gold purified
You, Lord, will protect them from evil
You will preserve them and keep them safe
When the depraved strut about,
As idols of the human race
