The Lord called out to me
Before I was even born
He uttered my name
Before I was utterly formed
He said, “You are My servant
Born to show My glory”
But I laboured more for
Things that left me empty
Still, He asked that I would shine
To draw the nations in
So they would find salvation
Through the One who knew no sin
The Lord, my strength, is faithful
To redeem and to reward
May I serve Him,
Seeking only to be honoured
In the eyes of the Holy Lord
